WE’RE VERY CAREFUL ABOUT WHAT WE PUT IN OUR PRODUCTS, THAT’S WHY WE NEVER USE CHEMICAL FRAGRANCES, NEVER TEST ON ANIMALS AND ALWAYS PRODUCE PH BALANCED FORMULAS.
SALINESaline is a highly effective and very natural solution to dissolving mucus and keeping blocked noses open. Our saline is made from nothing more than purified water and natural salt.
ALOE VERAThe extraordinary healing powers of the aloe vera plant make it an important ingredient in the Jackson Reece formula. The leaves contain a gel which has an immediate healing effect on wounds and burns. The gel acts like a protective coating on the skin and accelerates the healing process. It is also a mild anaesthetic and relieves pain and itching. It increases the flow of blood and reduces inflammation, swelling and redness.Aloe vera is also beneficial for skin disorders such as psoriasis, acne and eczema. The gel acts as a moisturiser, removes dead cells and can reduce scarring. Aloe vera gels and sprays are also used in the relief of arthritic pain in the joints and muscles.
YLANG YLANGYlang Ylang is every bit as exciting as it sounds. It comes from the flowers of the Candanga Odorata and is an ancient oil that has been used by humans for thousands of years. Famous for its ability to retain moisture and maintain the skin’s natural balance, it has a gentle, calming odour and some rather helpful antiseptic properties.
PURIFIED WATERWe think it’s important to filter water to a high standard to kill any harmful bacteria.
ALL OF THE BELOW CHEMICALS ARE COMMONLY FOUND IN COSMETICS AND TOILETRIES.
WE HAVE EXCLUDED THEM FROM ALL OF OUR PRODUCTS BECAUSE WE DON’T THINK THEY’RE ANY GOOD FOR BABIES OR THEIR PARENTS!
THIS MAKES OUR PRODUCTS IDEAL FOR USE ON THOSE WITH DELICATE, SENSITIVE OR INFLAMED SKIN OR EVEN CHILDREN SUFFERING FROM ECZEMA.
ALCOHOLAlcohol strips the skin of its natural oils, often causing redness, irritation and inflammation. It can also stop skin’s natural ability to shed dead skin cells, causing pore clogging. By leaving it out, our products are ideal for use with delicate, sensitive or inflamed skin.
They destroy bacteria, so they’re strong and aggressive and are consequently a common irritant that we don’t think should be near a baby’s skin.
SODIUM LAURYL SULFATE (SLS) & SODIUM LAURETH SULFATE (SLES)
These are cheap, effective chemicals that can clean the skin, but they also strip it of its moisture. That means that these chemicals aggravate sensitive skin conditions.
This is a common ingredient in many cosmetics, but some people are allergic to it, so we left it out!
These are used to preserve cosmetics and as an antiseptic. They also can intensify the symptoms of asthma.
These chemicals make scents and colours last longer on shelf, but some studies have shown that they can have an effect on hormone levels, making them something we didn’t think babies should be exposed to.
This preservative can cause allergic reactions and irritate the skin.
This chemical stops water from escaping the skin, reducing the skin’s moisture factor. Studies show that it is not recommended for eczema sufferers.
This chemical has been banned by French certification organisation Eco Cert.
An aggressive chemical that is used to control the growth of bacteria - it is regulated by the FOA and some studies highlight cancer concerns.
This range of chemicals are derived from petroleum and they have no place in an environmentally friendly product.
